PASSION
Before I work or collaborate with anyone I first want to know who they are and what they are about. I ask, is their character and integrity aligned with me and my community? Are they focused on the well-being and health of themselves, their community and the global community? In the context of passion and what I find inspiring, the time I share, the energy and creativity that is explored and expressed should strive to be at a deep level creating purposeful expression and vital relationships.
We have significant challenges with our food systems across the globe and I have been searching for and supporting solutions that address these issues head on for many years. I'm still searching... Unfortunately, we are not taking care of the body that feeds us. Our soils are depleted; our water is polluted and simply drying up; our hunger for fossil fuels is never satisfied; our drive to exploit and compartmentalize commodities and capitalize is a severe sickness that we need to heal from. We can change and we are resilient. But we need more than 1% of the human population of the planet to take action (and that's not a nod to wealth in monetary means). Though this small percentage will create the change, my hope is that the rest of us don't have to actually live and feel the pain of change in order for it to occur.
Let's just do the right thing! And do it now...
My intention is to be of service. Passions that I enjoy tend to involve food and art, regenerative farming and permaculture principles, health and wellness, working hand in hand with colleagues, friends and family - all circling around building strong, healthy communities.
Here are some photo-stories that share some of my favorite moments. I want to own my contributions and share a bountiful life at my farm, through my family, my professional experiences and my engaged community.
